HYPNOSIS & HYPNOTHERAPY
EXPLAINED
Hypnosis can change your life
It can be all too easy to just accept things the way they are, even if these are not what you want them to be. 'I guess I'll never be a confident person', 'I suppose I'll always have this anxiety', 'I have been smoking too long to quit now’.
It doesn’t have to be this way, you can change and in my opinion hypnosis is the fastest and most effective method to help you. As a skilled hypnotist, with over twelve years experience helping thousands of people and delivering hundreds of seminars around the world, I have witnessed first hand how rapidly hypnosis works, clients enjoy rapid and life-changing results.
My work has been featured in newspapers and magazines, on radio and in television programmes. I have hundreds of hand written testimonials from satisfied clients. In short, my success with clients just like you, speaks for itself.
What is hypnosis?
A hypnotic trance is a state of relaxed ‘focused concentration’ in which you are neither fully awake nor fully asleep. Research on scans taken during hypnosis demonstrated there is a specific state that the brain accesses whereby the mind is receptive to suggestions.
During hypnosis most people simply feel relaxed. There is a change in the brain wave activity, similar to that time just before sleep when the alpha state is entered. Your brain's waking state is a beta brain wave, just as you are going to sleep it changes to alpha and then to delta and theta in deep sleep. The alpha state is a very dreamy, pleasant state. During this time the mind is very open to visualizations and creating a rich sensory experience, allowing the subconscious to be re-programmed to eliminate fears, phobias, pain, change unwanted habits such as smoking or eating and create new compelling habits such as increasing exercise more, being more confident, focused, driven, and ultimately more successful in life.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes, your body and mind go into trance frequently, remember a time when you have been driving home, the radio is playing and a song comes on that reminds you of an experience, a great holiday, someone you care about, and you find your mind just drifts off, these are common experiences of natural light forms of hypnosis that we drift into all the time.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes, Hypnosis has been around for more than a century to treat a broad spectrum of medical conditions. In recent years it has received increasingly popular attention and professional recognition. Since 1955 it has been recognised by the British Medical Association [BMA] as an approved treatment. It has now developed into a science and there is a section devoted to medical hypnosis at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.
