We all know that life is full of situations that can cause stress. You have probably noticed that some people are able to easily manage these events, while others are easily overwhelmed. , of all the definitions of stress I have read regarding stress this is my favorite: "stress is any change to which you must adjust".

The people who do well under stress are no different than you, except that they have learned effective coping mechanisms, strategies to cope with or alter stressful situations.

Increased stress can increase productivity, after which things rapidly deteriorate, and that level also differs for each of us. It’s much like the stress or tension on a violin string. Not enough produces a dull raspy sound and too much an irritating screech or snaps the string. Just the correct degree of stress creates a beautiful tone. The difference is in how we interpret the event. That determines whether we experience positive challenge stress or (di)stress.

You can change the way you interpret stress by changing your perceptions and beliefs
